1.) GRADUATE ARCHITECT
Buildafrique Group is a multi-disciplinary of specialized subsidiaries that offers “End-to-End Project Development and Investment Solutions”.
The Organization wishes to recruit a highly motivated and result oriented individual to fill the position of “Graduate Architect”.
The role will provide support in areas of conceptual design and planning process for architectural projects across various sectors, including real estate, infrastructure, and commercial developments, and assisting in the creation of innovative, functional, and aesthetically compelling design concepts that align with the investment objectives and project briefs. The role offers hands-on exposure to early-stage design development, including site analysis, investment appraisal, massing studies, schematic layouts, 3D visualizations, and concept documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in site analysis, feasibility studies, and investment appraisal to inform the conceptual design approach.
- Assist in the development of conceptual designs through sketches, 3D models, layout plans, and visual presentations.
- Support the preparation of concept packages, mood boards, design narratives, and architectural diagrams for internal and external presentations.
- Collaborate with investment appraisal and project teams to integrate feedback and refine design solutions.
- Conduct research on materials, design trends, building typologies, and contextual influences relevant to investment projects.
- Prepare digital models and visualizations using various software tools.
- Assist in preparing investment appraisal reports, concept drawings, and presentation materials for investors meetings and design reviews.
- Attend and contribute to internal design workshops, investment appraisal meetings, and investor briefings when required.
- Ensure that all design work adheres to local building regulations, codes, and sustainability considerations.
Job qualifications and core competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Studies, or related.
- Proficient in architectural design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, etc.).
- Strong design sensibility and ability to translate concepts into visual and spatial ideas.
- Excellent graphic and presentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Passion for innovation, sustainable design, and the built environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic project setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, innovative, and creative.
- Business and Leadership skills.

2.) QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Buildafrique Group is a multi-disciplinary of specialized subsidiaries that offers “End-to-End Project Development and Investment Solutions”.
The Quantity Surveying subsidiary, Buildafrique Consulting Limited, wishes to recruit highly motivated and result oriented individual to fill the position of Quantity Surveyor.
The position will provide support for the organization in all areas of Quantity Surveying profession.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding the brief for a specific project, appraising project specification, and preparation of preliminary cost estimates;
- Developing the specifications with other projects consultants and preparation of Approximate Cost Estimates and Bills of Quantities;
- Collecting information, drawings, specifications, specialized works Bills of Quantities, shop drawings quotations, and preparation of Actual Estimates and Bills of Quantities.
- Conducting Tender Invitation, Tender Action, Tender Opening, Tender analysis, and preparation of Tender Report.
- Contract documentation and administration for specific project.
- Analysis of project work programme and preparation of Cash Flow Projections.
- Evaluation of applications for valuation and preparation of Interim Valuation for works.
- Studying of works alterations, changes, and variations, and preparation of Variations Account and Periodic Financial Appraisal.
- Final accounting and measurements appraisal at project completion and preparation of Final Accounts.
- Appraising and preparation of construction cost estimates, development cost estimates, material and labour schedules, quotations estimates, and budget costing for construction projects.
- Liaising with other professionals, such as Project Managers, Architects, and Engineers for required information during project costing and contract appraisal;
- Updating job knowledge and company information database by researching and tracking on market costs of construction materials, general economic conditions, and new products; participating in professional opportunities; reading professional and technical publications; and maintaining business networks.
- Industry review and preparation of periodic market reports, with other professionals.
- Creating of new business opportunities through business development, in line with the organization Vision Strategy.
Job qualifications and core competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Registered as a Quantity Surveyor, or in the course of registration.
- Experience and skills in associated computer software skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, Innovative, and creative.
- Business and Leadership skills.
